Murder Case Of Kaduna Student: Family demands over ₦560m compensation, Accuses Government of Negligence

  Six suspects have appeared at the Kaduna Chief Magistrate Court, Kabala Doki in Kaduna State, after being charged with the murder of Ahmed Musa, an SS2 student, who was brutally killed. The incident took place on 16th February 2025, at the Government Technical College Malali Kaduna North.  Justice Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid ordered that the principal defendants, Wisdom Markus Kefas, 18 years old, SS2 student and Innocent Yakubu, 17 years old SS2 student both from Government Technical College Malali, Markus be remanded in a correctional facility, while Innocent would be remanded in the police custody.  The case has been adjourned until the 8th of April 2025.  Wisdom Markus Kefas and Innocent Yakubu are the prime suspects accused of conspiring and causing the death of Ahmed on the 16th of February, 2025. Customs Kano/Jigawa, Dialogue With Stakeholders On The Collection Of 4% FOB

By Comrade Musa Mohammed  The Nigeria Customs Service Kano/Jigawa Area Command has held a stakeholders meeting on the collection of 4% Free On Board (FOB), insisting that the new revenue law was in the interest of all stakeholders, including exporters, importers, customs agents, among others. The Area Controller, Comptroller Dalhatu Abubakar, has said that, the 4% FOB collection was temporarily suspended because the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) contract with the service providers has been terminated. Comptroller Abubakar made the statement during a sensitization of importersand stakeholders on the collection of 4% free collection on board, organized by Nigeria customs service Kano/jigawa command which took place on Wednesday. He explained that, Nigeria customs service will begin to collect the 4% FOB by itself once the suspension is lifted. FUDMA matriculates 4,000 students for 2024/2025 session

The Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA), in Katsina State, has matriculated 4,000 students for the College of Professional and Continuing Studies.   Speaking during the 6th matriculation in Dutsinma on Tuesday, the Vice-Vhancellor (V-C), Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu-Bichi congratulated the new students.   Hamisu-Bichi said that in the current session, the college had received 4,860 applications, out of which 4,000 were admitted and accepted their admission.   “On behalf of the Senate, staff, and students of our great institution, I extend warm felicitations to our newly admitted students, who have successfully secured admission to pursue degree programmes in the College.   “To our new students, I offer heartfelt congratulations on this significant milestone,” he said.   According to the vice-chancellor, the university prioritises motivation, achievements, integrity, and academic excellence, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students.   ...

K-23 Movement Calls for El-Rufai's Prosecution Over Corruption Allegations

The K-23 Movement, a group of concerned citizens from Kaduna State, has joined the growing chorus of voices calling for the prosecution of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai over allegations of monumental corruption. The group, which describes itself as a "Movement for Justice, Peace and Progress," alleges that El-Rufai's stewardship of Kaduna State was marked by corruption and executive impunity, leaving behind a battered economy and a people beleaguered by years of misrule.
