The West Africa Agricultural Development Writers Association (WAADEWA) has awarded the products of leading Fertilizer Company, Continental Fertilizer Ltd as the Best Fertilizer producers of the year 2022. The award was presented to the CEO of Continental Fertilizer, Alhaji Ibrahim Saulawa in kano, on Tuesday in the presence of the company Director Alhaji Ibrahim Usman (Chiroman Zazzau) and the staff. Continental Fertilizer produces fertilizer and Agro inputs for farmers in different parts of Nigeria. The National President of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), has bagged the Arewa Media Practitioners public servant of the year award. Receiving the award in Abuja on Wednesday, the national president, Comrade Audu Titus Amba, commended the arewa media Practitioners for creating a mechanism to assess the performance of public servants, which he described as an important thing for the public servants. Amba, challenged the arewa media to periodically monitor the works of their awardees. “It is good you periodically recognise those you think have done creditably. “The only way we will continue to do well is that there are expectations that people are watching and will hold us accountable. “The harder part of your work is holding us accountable and making sure that we adhere to standards that resulted to the awards,” he said.
