NUT President Bags Public Servant Of The Year Award

The National President of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), has bagged the Arewa Media Practitioners public servant of the year award.

Receiving the award in Abuja on Wednesday, the national president, Comrade Audu Titus Amba, commended the arewa media Practitioners for creating a mechanism to assess the performance of public servants, which he described as an important thing for the public servants.

Amba, challenged the arewa media to periodically monitor the works of their awardees.

“It is good you periodically recognise those you think have done creditably.

“The only way we will continue to do well is that there are expectations that people are watching and will hold us accountable.

“The harder part of your work is holding us accountable and making sure that we adhere to standards that resulted to the awards,” he said.

He commended the arewa media for the recognition and assured them of his efforts to do more.

Earlier, while presenting the award, the national president of Arewa Media Practitioners Comrade Musa Mohammed said the award bestowed on the NUT national president, was a testimony of his hard-working, selfless Services and good Leadership.
