Appointment of GL 08 Officer as Education Secretary Sparks Outcry in Kaduna North
KADUNA — The Kaduna Doka Development Association, KADDA, has petitioned Governor Uba Sani to review the appointment of the Education Secretary for Kaduna North Local Government Education Authority, alleging that the appointee does not meet the required qualification and experience. In a letter dated August 4, 2026 with reference KADDA/ADM/GEN: 003/VOL.1, the association urged the state government to immediately verify the credentials of the appointee and suspend the appointment pending the outcome of the review. The petition was signed by KADDA Secretary General, Almustapha Abdul. ALLEGATIONS OF INELIGIBILITY KADDA told the governor that the appointee is currently an officer on Grade Level 08, and argued that the office of Education Secretary requires “substantial educational qualifications, extensive administrative experience and proven managerial competence” in line with the state government’s published recruitment framework.
