By Our Correspondent
An alarm was raised by concerned citizens of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, alleging that some oil pipelines have been dug out illegally and sold by some individuals, including the current LG Council Chairman Hon. Isma'ila Zakari a.k.a Dangote.
The group, which spoke to journalists under the condition of anonymity, made available some photographs of the pipelines, including a short video clip.
They noted that the pipelines were linked up to Borno State and have been underground for many years.
They accused the council chairman, Hon. Sama'ila Zakari, of conniving with some unpatriotic persons and selling some of the pipelines.
The group called on the state government and the security operatives in the state to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
The key suspects of these allegations include Mr Abbas Aliyu, Hon. Ismaila Zakari - Chairman Ardo-Kola LGA of Taraba State, Mr. Kini Nomiri, Mr. Adamu Abdukadir, Garba Audu, Umar Usman One K, and Abdullahi Ya'u.
All efforts to reach the local government chairman proved abortive.
