LAWAL SAMA'ILA DORO BAGS AMP AWARD





The Head of Local Government Administration, Daura local government area of katsina state, Alhaji Sama'ila Lawal Doro has bagged Arewa Media Practitioners awards for his invaluable recognition to good governance and outstanding role and contribution towards development of Daura local government area within a short period of time.


The award conferred on him as the result of his stewardship and appreciable impact in various sector across Daura local government area.





According to the National President Arewa media Comrade Musa Mohammed, the awards were conferred on him to encourage him to do more for the people and also encourage him to remain focused, while he discharges his duties as the head of Local Government Administration.

Alhaji Lawal Doro, while receiving the award, expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the awards.

He said, “Iam quite humble by the award bestowed on me, considering the category which is "Icon of community service and Societal Development".

He commended the executive governor of katsina state Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari for putting in-place necessary administration and result oriented programmes across katsina state.

Customs Kano/Jigawa, Dialogue With Stakeholders On The Collection Of 4% FOB

By Comrade Musa Mohammed  The Nigeria Customs Service Kano/Jigawa Area Command has held a stakeholders meeting on the collection of 4% Free On Board (FOB), insisting that the new revenue law was in the interest of all stakeholders, including exporters, importers, customs agents, among others. The Area Controller, Comptroller Dalhatu Abubakar, has said that, the 4% FOB collection was temporarily suspended because the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) contract with the service providers has been terminated. Comptroller Abubakar made the statement during a sensitization of importersand stakeholders on the collection of 4% free collection on board, organized by Nigeria customs service Kano/jigawa command which took place on Wednesday. He explained that, Nigeria customs service will begin to collect the 4% FOB by itself once the suspension is lifted.
