PROWESS UNIVERSITY, CIAP, IISD HONOUR NIGERIANS




Leadtimes Africa magazine and Chartered Institute of Arts Professional (CIAP) USA/International Institute of Strategies  Development (IISD) in collaboration with Prowess University, Delaware, USA are poised to honour outstanding Nigerians in the leadership circle come April,2022 at the University of Abuja.

In a press statement signed by the Advisory Board Chairman of Leadtimes Africa magazine, Professor Buba S.Mshelia states that the theme of the summit is titled: Reducing the cost of governance in our leadership system-a new Approach to sustainable growth and development in Nigeria. 

A renowned scholar and Dean of Management science, Kogi state University ,Professor Basil C. Nwankwo will serve as Chief guest lecturer at the ceremony.Other dignitaries to attend the summit include Amb.Dr. Mohammed Jibril Ahmed,chairman/CEO, Shelter Construction Company, who will serve as guest of honour.Other special guests at the event will include National chairman, Petroleum Tankers Drivers, Branch of NUPENG,Dr Salimon Akani Oladiti; Hon.Dr Dayyabu Yusuf Garga, Executive chairman of Kanam LGA of Plateau state; the immediate past Nasarawa state commissioner for Industry, Commerce and Corporative,Alhaji Dr.Ahmed Mohammed; and Hon.Dr Prince Natty Nwaneri, Director of Science Academy, Abuja.

His Royal Majesty, Musa Abari Agye, the Osakpa of Akpanaja Kingdom in Doma LGA of Nasarawa state will serve as Royal father of the day at the event.
According to the Registrar/CEO of the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies (IAMPS) and Africa Representative of Prowess University, Delaware, USA,Professor Prince Eze C.Nwauba in a press release states thus:" Few selected Nigerians with exemplary leadership qualities who have made positive impact on their local communities cum their professional career will be honoured  with honorary doctorate degree in different fields during the ceremony at the University of Abuja.While others are nominated for fellowship induction including the fellow of Chartered Institute of Arts Professional(FCIAP), USA and Fellow of International Institute of Strategies Development (FIISD) respectively.

Among the nominees listed for honour at the university of Abuja include- the Zonal Head, North East, FCMB, Baba Bala Maaji;Hon.Balogun Akeem Agbolade,Deputy Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly ; proprietress of Brussels International School, Lagos,Mrs BCJ Nawanoeze;Lagos state commissioner for Tourism,Arts and Culture, Uzamat Akinbile;Managing Director/CEO of KITAN FASHION HOUSE,Ikeja, Lagos,Mr Akeem Ibrahim;and the Managing Director/CEO of Eagle Heights Properties and Investment LTD,Lagos, Dr Mrs Mabel Ebele Magbudu.

Other notable personalities as nominees for the award  include the wife  the Bauchi state governor, Hajia Aisha Mohammed;Senator Haliru Jika representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District;
Senator Barau Jibril representing kano - North Senatorial District. Commodore Emmanuel Duja Effedua(rtd),Rector, Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Iron, Akwa Ibom State; General Manager of Lagos state Water Authority(LASWA), Oluwadamilola Emmanuel; former Delta state Finance Commissioner, Chief Benard Okumagba and serving Head of Service of Delta state, Reginald Bayoko including the  Managing Director of Delta Trust Mortgage Bank Limited are also in the roll-call of honorary doctorate awardees and fellowship induction respectively;also listed for honour is the Executive Director of  Energy Commission of Nigeria, Engr Abaka Umar;Hon.Alexander Enokela Ogbe, a PDP chieftain and House of Representative  aspirant of Otukpo/ Ohimini Federal Constituency ,Benue state ; and Mr Abba Adaudu,principal Partner, Abbas & Co,Abuja; CEO of AMITECH inter global Engineering Ltd, Abuja, Prince Sir HC Okonkwo ;and Barr. Dr Alex O.Akunebu, Principal Partner, Akunebu Akunebu & Co,Abuja- all of these have been penciled down for various honour come 2nd April, 2022 at the University of Abuja.The executive chairman of Oshodi/I solo  LGA of Lagos state Hon. Otunba Kehinde Almaroof also made the list of nominees; as the CEO of Askamaya Hotels & Suites, Lagos,Ulom Michael( Askamaya),CEO of Treasure Real Estate LTD ,Lagos,Mr Derrick Iyamu and Alhaji Aminu Sani Sambo,deputy Accountant General, Kaduna state are among the recipients of various awards at the event.
The program which is an annual event will attract participants from all professions and is expected to promote good governance in African Leadership. The last edition was held at the University of Lagos,Nigeria.
