Aunt Starve, Caged 17-yr-old girl in Jos another kept with goats





Police in Jos have rescued a 17-year-old malnourished girl, locked up by her aunt for upwards of one week in Rikkos, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau, without care.

A neighbour alerted the National Human Rights Commission in Jos after which the police were invited leading to her rescue.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that the aunt was fond of maltreating and starving the girl, an orphan.

Customs Kano/Jigawa, Dialogue With Stakeholders On The Collection Of 4% FOB

By Comrade Musa Mohammed  The Nigeria Customs Service Kano/Jigawa Area Command has held a stakeholders meeting on the collection of 4% Free On Board (FOB), insisting that the new revenue law was in the interest of all stakeholders, including exporters, importers, customs agents, among others. The Area Controller, Comptroller Dalhatu Abubakar, has said that, the 4% FOB collection was temporarily suspended because the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) contract with the service providers has been terminated. Comptroller Abubakar made the statement during a sensitization of importersand stakeholders on the collection of 4% free collection on board, organized by Nigeria customs service Kano/jigawa command which took place on Wednesday. He explained that, Nigeria customs service will begin to collect the 4% FOB by itself once the suspension is lifted.
