Kaduna North APC    Councilors: We Didn't Left APC, It Is "Rumor" - Shaba Ward and Liman Councillor Says



The All Progressive Congress (APC) Councilors in Kaduna North local government area of Kaduna state has dismissed the rumour making the rounds that they dumped the party.

The two councilors Hon. Muhammad Sanusi liman shaba ward, and Hon. Salisu umar BK Liman ward, in an interview debunked the trending online report (social media) about the purported defection and their resignation from APC to NNPP.

“This is to disclaim the rumour going round , that we dumped APC to NNPP"

“This is an absolute fallacy and could only have happened in the imagination of the rumour peddler.

“There is nothing like that”.
"The social media reports were false".

Taraba Correspondents' Chapel calls for the removal of Commissioner of Information, Zainab, boycott govt's activities

The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Taraba state chapter, has passed a vote of no confidence in the state Commissioner for information and re-orientation, Barr. Zainab Usman Jalingo. In an emergency Congress meeting held at the chapel Secretariat in Jalingo, the union also resolved to boycott all Taraba state government activities henceforth. In the Congress resolution signed by the Resolution Drafting Committee chairman Mr Charles Akpeji, the union decried what they described as a neglect of journalists and the profession, sighting the commissioner's deliberate and continued sidelining of the press during major state functions. Fraud, Impunity: Allegations of Selling An Oil Pipeline Involving LG Council Boss, Others

By Our Correspondent An alarm was raised by concerned citizens of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, alleging that some oil pipelines have been dug out illegally and sold by some individuals, including the current LG Council Chairman Hon. Isma'ila Zakari a.k.a Dangote. The group, which spoke to journalists under the condition of anonymity, made available some photographs of the pipelines, including a short video clip. They noted that the pipelines were linked up to Borno State and have been underground for many years. They accused the council chairman, Hon. Sama'ila Zakari, of conniving with some unpatriotic persons and selling some of the pipelines. The group called on the state government and the security operatives in the state to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
