HONORARY DOCTORATE AWARD CONFERMENT CEREMONY POSTPONED

The joint honorary doctorate award ceremony of prowess University, Deleware USA and Triune Biblical University Global Extension New York, USA initially billed for 4th March, 2023 at the University of Lagos by 11am has been postponed.
In a joint press statement released by Professor Prince Eze Nwuaba,African Representative of the Prowess University; Professor Adeleke D. Durojaiye, President of Triune Biblical University Global Extension, New-York, USA;
Professor Buba S. Mshelia,Advisory Board Chairman of Leadtimes Africa magazine stated thus "the postponement of the event is due to the ongoing general elections and the naira-swap policy that have affected the participants of this program. It is therefore shifted ahead to another new date that will be announced soon when the elections are over; this would give room for more participants", the University dons stated. in "Also, most of the nominees received their nomination letters too late due to the incessant cases of fuel scarcity and the naira-swap policy", Professor Eze stated.
It will be recalled that outstanding personalities in Leadership cycle across Nigeria have been nominated for the conferment of honorary doctorate degree award in various categories and the program is billed for the University of Lagos guest house.

Among those expected as Special guests at the summit include two immediate past Nigerian ambassadors to the Vatican (Rome) and Spain, Amb.Major General(rtd) Godwin George Umo and Amb. Chief Dr Mrs Susan Aderonke Folarin respectively. Also included as Special guest is Amb. Dr Mohammed Jibril Ahmed, Chairman/CEO of Shelter Construction Co. Limited. Professor Basil C. Nwankwo of the Kogi state University, Anyigba, is expected to serve as guest lecturer at the occasion. The theme of the summit is titled:Enhancing accelerated Capacity Building Through Entrepreneurship in Governance- pathway to Sustainable Growth and Development in Nigeria.
Selected professionals, technocrats, captains of Industries, traditional ruler's, NGOs, credible politicians among others are expected to participate in the event.
Some nominees for the honorary doctorate degree award include Prince Segun Ochuko Obayendo, Group Managing director of Temple Group Limited who also doubles as the current National President of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration and Founder/President of Segun Obayendo Foundation;Mr Oyindamola Ogunojemite, a financial manager and a tax consultant as well as Mr Isaac Olugbenga Kole, the Managing Director/CEO of Tasty Time Nigeria Limited. Others to bag honorary doctorate degree award during the summit include the Managing director of Ist Properties Hub Limited, Franklin Igbochuba and Engr Simeon Alabi, Managing director/CEO of PRODECO Engineering Services Limited, among others.
Professor Buba S. Mshelia, the Advisory Board Chairman of Leadtimes Africa magazine, the Africa Regional media outfit that is anchoring this program in conjunction with the two US based institutions states that some of the participants will be conferred upon with the Prestigious Leadtimes Africa magazine Integrity award during the ceremony.This edition of the honorary doctorate degree award will be unique because the selections were done on merit and it transcends across different professions including the Real Estate, entertainment industry, hospitality industry, Oil and Gas sector, entreprenurship, among others.
The summit on good Governance will precede the award session at the University of Lagos on the new date to be made known soon. In our last edition, some eminent Nigerians were honoured as
honorary doctorate awardees of Prowess University, Delaware, USA. They Included Her Excellency Amb. Dr Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq, First Lady,Kwara State who bagged the Prowess University honorary doctorate in Public Policy and Administration;Chief Mike A. A. Ozekhome(SAN), a renowned constitutional lawyer and Human Rights Activist who bagged honorary doctorate in International Law and Diplomacy;Barrister Alecander Utieyin- Scott a renowned Barrister and Solicitor bagged honorary doctorate degree in International Law and Diplomacy as Engr Lara Sarat Braimah of National Inland Waterways Authority was honoured with honorary doctor of philosophy in Science while Engr Obinna Azonobi; Remi Olukoya; Isaac Chukwudi Ndupuechi were all honoured in Business Administration,among others.
