HON. ABUBAKAR MAHMOUD BAGS WAPOWA AWARD.





The organizers of West Africa Political Writers Association Annual lecture and award presentation said that the recipients of the 2023 West Africa Political Writers Association award deserves the award bestowed on them as a result of their outstanding role and contribution in Community services and Societal development.

The Chairman of the WAPOWA 2023 Award selection committee Dr. Mohammed Aliyu Mustapha made the statement during the award presentation ceremony in Minna, Niger state on Saturday.

The Chairman said, Hon. Abubakar Mahmoud (Jarman Abakwa), who is amongst the awardees, his profile shows that the young Politician has proven that he understands the meaning of democracy and the way it works.

He said Hon. Mahmoud is in his element as a thorough bred politician and a true democrat.

“Even when he contested for seat of Federal House Of Representative in his constituency kaduna north, kaduna state, and during the 2023 election campaign, we all
remembered how and what he has done in his constituency.

As a young Politician, Abubakar Mahmoud displayed high level skills in brinkmanship. Personally, impressed with his style from his days when he joined politics.

He looks quiet but very deep. He is a fantastic listener, soft spoken and a humble man”.

The representative of Hon. Abubakar Mahmoud, Comrade Musa Mohammed who received the award on his behalf, expressed gratitude to the organizers of the awards.

He expressed delight for the award.

He said, “Iam quite humble by the award bestowed on one of our polical leader considering the category of the award which is "ICON OF POLITICAL STABILITY".

He assured the organizers of WAPOWA award that Hon. Abubakar Mahmoud will continue to uplifting his community.

APC Crisis: There are heavy moves to oust Ganduje.
