CAPACITY BUILDING SUMMIT HOLDS IN LAGOS,PROWESS VARSITY TO HONOR JIGAWA FIRST LADY, EBONYI & OTHERS.
Wife of the executive governor of Jigawa State, Her Excellency Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi; her Ebonyi State counterpart, Her Excellency Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru will bag Prowess University honorary doctorate degree awards at the good governance Summit on Capacity Building Initiatives billed for the University of Lagos later this month.
Others include wife of the Taraba State governor and her Zamfara State counterpart, Her Excellency Mrs Patience Agyin Agbu Kefas and Her Excellency Hajiya Huraiya Dauda Lawal.
The program which is an annual event will feature conferment of honorary doctorate awards on few selected Nigerians and induction as fellow of Chartered Institute of Arts Professionals (FCIAP) by the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies(IAMPS), the only professional body that coordinates the activities of PROWESS University, Delaware USA in Africa.
In a press statement credited to the Advisory Board Chairman of Leadtimes Africa Magazine, Professor Buba S. Mshelia, a co-convener of the summit stressed: "The theme of this year edition is titled: "institutionalising Capacity Building Initiatives into Governance in African Leadership-Way-out for Sustainable Development and Poverty Reduction in Africa.

According to Mshelia, ''participants will be drawn across different professions including captains of industries, construction and financial services, technocrats, top government functionaries including state's governors and their wives, state's commissioners, law makers, local government administrators, academicians, traditional rulers, religious leaders, NGOs and other stakeholders in leadership circle.''
Her Excellency Amb. Chief Dr. Mrs Susan Aderonke Folarin, former Ambassador to Spain and former chairman of Ogun State Civil Service Commission is expected to serve as special guest of honour at the summit.
Professor Basil C. Nwankwo of Kogi State University is expected to serve as guest lecturer at the summit.
According to Professor Prince Eze Nwauba, the Registrar/CEO of the Institute of Arts Management & Professional Studies and the current Vice Chancellor of , i-FATOSS University, Republic of Benin, selected Nigerians who have proved to be outstanding in their different fields of endeavours will be honoured at the occasion with various honorary doctorate degrees of PROWESS University, Delaware USA.

Listed for the honorary doctorate award of the PROWESS University later this month are the General Manager of Lagos State Building Control Agency Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki; Arc. Charles Okey Egbudom,Chairman /CEO of Form-Annex Associates and Arc. Alaba Abiodun Oduniyi,MD/CEO of SILHOUETTE DESIGN & BUILD LTD have been nominated for honorary doctorate degree in Building Engineering.
The President/chairman of Council, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Mr Ken Opara, Engr. Abatan Gbolahan Olusegun, Director of Airworthiness Standards, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Arc. Ismail Muhammad of Niger State Urban Development Board and Chief Celestine Amukamara, CEO of Integrated Service and Jonathan Orji, Managing Director/CEO of SMMAPS are also listed for various honorary degrees during the ceremony.
Four speakers including that of Kwara state House of Assembly, Hon. Salihu Danladi, Hon. Dennis Emomotimi Guwor of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Wesley Bathiya of Adamawa State House of Assembly and Hon. Moses Sule, Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly are also listed for honor by the PROWESS University.

On the parameters for nomination, Prof. Eze said: "the nomination was based on positive recommendations made on all the nominees.
They are seen as proponents of good governance in African leadership, we have identified them as rare leaders with the capacity to better the lives of their people within their local communities through their enormous selfless services to humanity".
Few other Nigerian professionals including a legal icon, Olusola Johnson Jegede of Resolution Law Firm, Lagos has been nominated for honorary doctorate degree in International Law and Diplomacy.
Also listed for the honorary award include Hon. Ayodeji Joseph, MD/CEO of Lagos State Development and Property Development Corporation who will bag Doctor of Business Administration (honoris causa).
Two Nigerian businessmen and professionals including Dr. Remi Olukoya, Lead Consultant and Chief Executive Officer of Pecksgrey Group and Dr Godwin Oruh, Chairman/ CEO of Oruh Trade International Limited will be appointed as professorial chairs of the Prowess University, Delaware, USA during the ceremony.A prominent Nigerian industrialist Dr. Isaac Olugbenga Kole, Chairman/CEO of Tasty Time Nigeria Limited, Dr.Isikilu Alade Soyinka, Managing Director/CEO of Adeptal Limited and Dr Isaac Chukwudi Ndupuechi, MD/CEO of PIE Management Technology & Educational Consultancy will all be inducted as fellows of Chartered Institute of Arts Professional (FCIAP) during the ceremony
