NIGER SSG HAILS CHIEF SERVANT'S ENDURING LEGACY
The Niger State Government has joined a chorus of well-wishers to celebrate the former Governor of the State, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, (Talban Minna), on his landmark 70th birthday anniversary.
In a statement issued by Alhaji Abubakar Usman, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), conveyed the felicitations of the State Government and the entire people of Niger State, describing the former Governor as a distinguished statesman and visionary leader.
The statement extolled Dr. Aliyu, popularly known as the ‘Chief Servant,’ for his dedicated service and impactful tenure as the Executive Governor of the State from 2007 to 2015.
“His tenure remains a landmark period in the political and developmental history of our State,” the SSG stated. “He led with unparalleled vision, intellectual depth and a passionate commitment to the welfare of the common man.”
The Government highlighted the former Governor’s groundbreaking policies and iconic projects in urban development, education, healthcare and rural infrastructure, noting that his philosophy of ‘Chief Servant’ placed the people at the center of governance, the statement added.
Beyond the bricks and mortar, the Talban Minna was a political colossus and a respected voice in national discourse. His wisdom, political sagacity and unwavering commitment to the principles of democracy and justice earned him respect across the nation, the statement noted.
The State Government praised Dr. Aliyu for his continued role as a father and mentor, whose counsel remains invaluable to the State's growth and stability, the statement stressed.
The statement concluded with prayers for the former Governor’s long life and good health: “We pray that the Almighty grants him many more years in good health, wisdom and happiness to continue his noble service to our community and the nation at large.”
