TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABLE GOVERNANCE: KADUNA STATE LGAs RECEIVE ₦13.8BN ALLOCATION FOR MARCH 2026

Kaduna State’s commitment to transparency and accountable governance shines through as the Local Government Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) holds its statutory meeting for March 2026. 

The meeting, presided over by Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, emphasizes Governor Uba Sani’s dedication to openness. 

Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, presides over the technical session, also emphasized Governor Uba Sani’s dedication to openness too.

Key attendees include Local Government Council Chairmen, ministry directors, and reps from various agencies. The meeting takes place at Senator Uba Sani Conference Hall, Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Kaduna State.

 The 23 LGAs received ₦13,806,901,167.53 from the Federation Account, broken down into:

– Statutory Allocation: ₦8,356,380,466.19

– Share of VAT: ₦5,450,520,701.34

Additionally, internal revenue generated in February includes:

– IGR: ₦37,454,618.00

– Land Use Charges: ₦10,513,397.83

– Signage and Masts Charges: ₦34,766,510.30
