SECURITY BOOST: Gov. Namadi Flags Off Police Training School in Gwaram, Pledges Jobs and Improved Safety
Gwaram, Jigawa State — The Executive Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency Malam Umar Namadi, FCA, has officially flagged off the construction of a Police Training School in Gwaram Local Government Area, in a move aimed at strengthening security infrastructure and creating employment opportunities in the state.
The ceremony, held on Tuesday, 28th April, 2026, was performed on behalf of the Governor by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim Mamsa, alongside the Jigawa State Commissioner of Police.
The event was hosted by the Executive Chairman of Gwaram LGA, Hon. Abdulkarim Musa Fagam (Galadiman Fagam), and attended by prominent stakeholders, including former local government officials, APC leaders, and respected community figures. Among them were Hon. Bala Sule Kila, Hon. Haruna Mai Riga, Mal. Hussaini Ali Kila, Alhaji Tukur Fagam, Dr. Saifullahi Umar, Hon. Umar Sule Gwaram, and the APC Chairman of Gwaram LGA, Hon. Jamilu Yakubu.
Also in attendance was notable APC chieftain and House of Representatives aspirant for Gwaram LGA, Adamu Yusuf Gwaram (CNA, CITM, IBDFM, APPON), popularly known as _Garkuwan Dutse_, whose efforts were widely acknowledged in facilitating the project.
The District Head of Gwaram, Alhaji Abubakar Tijjani Abubakar (Magajin Malam), led a distinguished traditional entourage, including village heads and other community leaders. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation to all individuals who contributed to the realization of the project. He specifically commended Hon. Yusuf Shitu Galambi, Mal. Zahraddeen Abubakar, and Hon. Adamu Yusuf Gwaram for their roles, praying for Allah’s blessings and the reward of Aljannatul Firdaus upon them.
The District Head further urged the contractor handling the project to uphold the highest standards of sincerity, transparency, and diligence to ensure timely and quality delivery.
In his remarks, the Governor’s representative, Malam Bala Ibrahim Mamsa, reaffirmed the commitment of the Jigawa State Government to providing all necessary support to ensure the swift completion of the project. He emphasized that the Police Training School will not only enhance security capacity in the state but also help reduce unemployment by creating job opportunities for residents.
This milestone underscores the administration’s continued dedication to safeguarding lives, empowering citizens, and fostering sustainable development across Jigawa State.
