Former Kaduna Assembly Leaders Meet to Mobilise Support for Tinubu, Uba Sani Ahead of 2027 Elections

Former Presiding and Principal Officers of the Kaduna State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kaduna State Branch, have resolved to establish a united political front to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The former legislative leaders reached the decision at a meeting held on Monday at the Kaduna State Civil Service Commission, where they deliberated on strategies to strengthen the political support base of the two leaders ahead of the presidential campaign flag-off scheduled for October 24, 2026, in Kaduna.

The meeting was chaired by a former Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Muazu Usman Gangara, and attended by former presiding and principal officers representing constituencies across the state.

Participants emphasised the need for unity, strategic coordination and effective grassroots mobilisation to consolidate the APC's political structures and broaden public support for the party's candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.

A key resolution of the meeting was the establishment of a united front comprising experienced former lawmakers, with a mandate to mobilise support across communities and constituencies throughout Kaduna State.

The initiative is expected to leverage the political experience, legislative networks and grassroots connections of the former assembly leaders to strengthen the party's mobilisation efforts in support of President Tinubu's re-election bid and Governor Uba Sani's second-term ambition in 2027.

The meeting also underscored the importance of collective action and sustained engagement with grassroots stakeholders in building a formidable support base for the APC ahead of the October 24 presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna.

The gathering forms part of broader efforts by party stakeholders to consolidate political support for the APC leadership in Kaduna State and prepare for the challenges of the 2027 general elections.

The former presiding and principal officers expressed their commitment to working together towards the common objective of strengthening the party's structures and mobilising support for its candidates across the state.
