The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kano/Jigawa Area Command, says it has generated more than N10 billion revenue into the coffers of the federal government which shows the Command activities at the free trade zone has been improved. The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mohammed Abubakar Umar, said this at a news conference on Thursday in Kano. Umar said his Command generated N10.1 billion revenue within a short period of time. He said the command will continue to put in place necessary measures to improve on the collection so far with the support from other units of the service such as the CIU, CPU, FOU, Border Drill and Strike Force. Alhaji Faruk Abubakar Udulu the Chief Executive Officer of Bentex zuly Nigeria limited commended Aliko Dangote for establishing the $2 billion Dangote Fertilizer plant that has been fully completed and set for commissioning. Faruk Ududu made the statement during a media chat on Friday, on Dangote fertilizer that set to commission soon. He averred that the Fertilizer company was very important to the achievement of the Federal Government’s Agricultural Transformation Agenda, aimed at boosting food security in the country.
